The Church of Saints Peter and Paul in Banting is the only church in Peninsular Malaysia bearing the joint name of Saints Peter and Paul — a distinction given by the Archdiocese of Kuala Lumpur because “both Peter and Paul are pillars of the Church.”
Our journey began with just 11 Catholic families in 1975 through the Church of Our Lady of Fatima. After decades of community prayer, sacrifice, and fundraising — totalling RM 3 million — the present modern church was officially opened on 24 November 2013 and can seat up to 450 worshippers.
The parish serves the entire Kuala Langat district, stretching from Dengkil to Morib. In 2016, we were honoured as one of five designated churches for the Holy Door of Mercy in Peninsular Malaysia during the Jubilee Year of Mercy.
